The joint monitoring of our two institutions shows that in recent weeks, in the context of the current political processes in the Republic of Armenia, the reprehensible phenomenon of creating and promoting sentiments of artificial division and opposition between our compatriots in Armenia and Artsakh has become widespread.
Moreover, such phenomena, mainly manifested in the public discourse of Armenia, find their manifestations in Artsakh as well.
The fact that some political actors use our compatriots’ being from Artsakh in polarized public speech to serve their political interests creates a "reason '' for the spread of insults, unacceptable language and hatred speech against our compatriots from Artsakh.
We strongly condemn speeches, actions and inaction (in terms of condemning these manifestations) aimed at creating such harmful, short-sighted and extremely dangerous dividing lines or which in any way contribute to these.
In this crucial period, full of challenges that our countries face, we especially call on all political figures and public actors of Armenia and Artsakh, regardless of political preferences and agendas, to prevent and condemn with their own example the false and extremely dangerous separation of "Hayastantsi" and "Artsakhtsi" .
We call on all citizens in Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora not to bear and be intolerant towards all actions aimed at dividing our compatriots in Armenia and Artsakh into groups and sowing internal separation. These actions undermine our resistance, decompose our public and national solidarity.
National unity and wisdom are one of the most important guarantees for solving all the challenges our states face.
