Today, the Human Rights Defender Ms.
Kristinne Grigoryan hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia H.E. Mr. Patrik Svensson.
The Defender Ms. Grigoryan welcomed
Ambassador Mr. Svensson at the Office of the Human Rights Defender, outlining
the priorities of the Office of the Defender, and stressed the determination to
utilize to the maximum the mandate of the Human Rights Defender to ensure the
security of the borders, equality, non-discrimination, protection of women’s
rights and combatting hate speech.
In turn, Ambassador Mr. Svensson
congratulated Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan on assuming the mission of the Human
Rights Defender, and highly valued the spheres of priority set by the Defender,
emphasizing the eagerness of the Swedish Embassy to support the activities of
the Office of the Human Rights Defender.
At the concussion of the meeting, the
parties expressed their readiness to continue and deepen the existing cooperation.
