On the day of the local
self-governing bodies elections in Gyumri, Goris, and other communities of
Armenia on October 17, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia conducted
monitoring of social networks and mass media, and analyzed the alarming-calls
received by the Office of the Defender.
During the day, joint
work was conducted with the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, for the
purpose of guaranteeing the electoral rights of the citizens.
The issues registered
will be summarized, and letters will be sent to the competent bodies, including
the issues related to the public data on the alleged distribution of bribes in
Tegh community, and closing of the entrance of the headquarters of "Arush
Arushanyan Allaiance" by the Police in Goris.
