The detainee's sister
appealed to the Human Rights Defender to help arrange the operation for her
brother.
According to the appellant,
because of his deteriorating health condition during his deprivation of liberty,
his brother was taken to a civilian medical facility where he was advised to
undergo surgery, which was not organized for a long time.
A written discussion
procedure was initiated at
the Office of the Defender in connection with the following problem, and letters
were addressed to the competent state bodies regarding the issues raised in the
complaint.
Through the joint work of the
Ministry of Justice and the Prison Medical Center SNCO, the detainee underwent
the necessary medical examinations, after which his operation was organized
within the framework of the state-guaranteed free medical care service.
