It is quite interesting when in their personal status
or the status of a lawyer, former employees of law enforcement agencies
(investigators, inspectors and prosecutors) face cases when Human Rights
violations and arbitrariness are committed by those bodies, and their response
to these violations is usually much harsher.
And we are referring to the violations that were
committed when they still worked in those bodies or maybe some of them
committed those violations themselves.
Responding to the violations is, of course, a positive
aspect, but all investigators, prosecutors or operative servicemen should
remember about this repeating pattern. After leaving the service or system,
they themselves will face the same violations that are now allowed under their
service.
Thus, with all due respect and presumption of good
faith towards our current or former law enforcement colleagues, we must not
forget that human rights violations are also a boomerang.
