Today, the Human Rights
Defender sent additional letters to the top leadership of the European Union
about an undeniable video-proof of the conversation between the President of
Azerbaijan and the First Lady of Turkey:
1) The President of the
European Council;
2) The President of the
European Commission;
3) High Representative of the
Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The video is a proof that all
the Armenian captives are being held hostage in Azerbaijan for political
bargaining and trade.
Therefore, all the trials of
the captives are fabricated, and their detention is a forbidden punishment.
The letters demonstrate how
the Azerbaijani authorities are misleading the international community,
including the EU.
The letters sent today are
based on the alarming-calls of the families of the captives and the results of
our studies, and the suffering caused to them by the Azerbaijani authorities is
demonstrated.
The experience of the
Armenian society, and specifically that of the captives’ relatives as a result
of the policy Armenophobia of the Azerbaijani authorities, and the political
manipulation on the issue of the captives’ return is specifically mentioned.
The issue of the immediate
return of the Armenian captives as a mandatory international requirement
subject to unconditional fulfillment is raised in the letters.
