The
villages of Soflu, Barkhudarly and Verin Aksipara (Voskepar) belonging to the
province of Dilijan Uyezd (administrative unit), with a total area of 3104 “desyatinas”
were handed over to Dilijan Uyezd by the decision of July 19-20 of the Local
Commission for Land and Forest Dispute Resolution of the Central Executive
Committee of the Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic in 1929.
These
and a number of other villages have always been of strategic, and vital
importance and now continue to be important in terms of securing the border
population of Armenia, guaranteeing their property rights, including the use of
land and pastures.
