Courrier d'Erévan periodical referred to the statement of Human Rights Defender
Mr. Arman Tatoyan stating that demarcation of the border with Azerbaijan
without the establishment of a security zone will not only endanger the rights
of Armenian citizens and especially those of Armenian border residents, but
will also cause new rights violations and tensions.
The
article notes the position of the Human Rights Defender, that in order to
restore the disrupted normal life of the Armenian citizens, and, first and
foremost, that of border residents, the Azerbaijani armed forces, and their
flags and signs, must be removed from the vicinity of the Armenian villages and
the roads connecting the communities.
