Journalist
Ms. Nane Arzumanyan applied to the Human Rights Defender, and informed that she
has received personal threats in connection with his professional activity from
a number of fake and real users of social networks.
Immediately
after Ms. Nane Arzumanyan's application, the Human Rights Defender personally
contacted her. The Office of the Defender contacted her as well.
The
journalist provided details that in connection with the video published in
Yerablur on the 9th of May, she was targeted by fake and real users of
social networks, and received threats, insults, and humiliating letters from
them. She noted that her family members were targeted as well, making her
brother who died in the war a subject of manipulation.
According
to Ms. Arzumanyan, it also refers to targeting the mother of a dead soldier in
the published video. Ms. Nane Arzumanyan will also send those letters to the
Office of the Human Rights Defender.
The
journalist noted that she would apply to the Police tomorrow morning, asked the
Defender to monitor the work of the law enforcement bodies.
Taking
into account the fact that, as the journalist mentioned in the application, the
issue of targeting her is related to her professional activities, the Human
Rights Defender will send a letter to the Police to keep the progress of the
case under their attention.
