During the visit to the Syunik region, the President of
the Republic and the Human Rights Defender visited the Shurnukh village.
The
residents raised the ensuring of security as the main issue that emerged due to
the illegal presence of the Azerbaijani servicemen in their immediate vicinity,
and on the community road. There are also unresolved social issues against this
background.
As a
result of the process related to the state borders following the war, persons
have been deprived of their apartments, lands and pastures.
Persons
deprived of apartments due to the Azerbaijani presence have raised concerns that
have emerged due to the issue construction of new apartments.
The
Human Rights Defender reaffirmed their concept on the creation of the demilitarized
security zone in the Syunik region aimed at guaranteeing human rights.

the joint visit and relevant steps (including joint steps) will be undertaken according
to the competenciess.
