On April 17-18 the Human Rights Defender's
Office, with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, organized a seminar
for journalists in Dilijan.
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia. Arman
Tatoyan and the Director of the project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation
"Political Dialogue South Caucasus" Regional Program Thomas Schrapel
made the opening remarks. Arman Tatoyan praised the cooperation with the Konrad
Adenauer Foundation, as well as stressed the effective work with the head of
the Yerevan Office Liana Marukyan.
Thomas Schrapel highlighted the importance of
human rights, and the cooperation between the Defender’s institution and
journalists.
Arman Tatoyan presented to the participants
the peculiarities of the Human Rights Defender's activity, and the issues of
protection of human rights and freedoms during the state of emergency, etc.
During the seminar, the journalists discussed several
other issues related to the protection of human rights.
