The National
Assembly Deputy Arman Babajanyan applied to the Human Rights Defender of
Armenia and informed that he was receiving threats to his life, health and
physical security from unknown phone numbers. According to him, his phone
number and home address were disseminated through social networks.
Taking
into account, that the application concerns the Deputy’s rights to life, mental
and physical immunity, a written procedure was initiated based on these facts,
and circumstances of Arman Babajanyan’s complaint were sent to the Police of
Armenia with an official letter.
As
required by the law, the actions of the Police with regard to ensuring Arman
Babajanyan's life, health and security will be at the center of the Human
Rights Defender’s attention.
