Today, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia
Arman Tatoyan received pupils of the “Debate Program” of “COAF” Charitable
Foundation of the Lernagog community of Armavir region.
The Human Rights Defender presented the
activities of the Defender’s Office in the child’s rights protection field,
talked about children.ombuds.am website which provides children, teachers, and
parents an opportunity to get acquainted with child’s rights, rules for safe
use of the Internet, etc.
On the “Book Giving Day”, the Defender
underlined the importance of children’s’ education, urged children and young
people to love books, and urged educators to encourage reading.
Arman Tatoyan noted that the educated and informed
citizen, with high values and respectful of others is tomorrow’s future.
The pupils addressed their questions to the Human
Rights Defender, and got acquainted with the activities of Child’s Rights
Protection Unit of the Defender’s Office.
Earlier study visits have also been organized
for “COAF” Foundation’s children from Dalarik, Getashen and Karakert
communities.
