Today, Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received Thierry
Ribo, the newly appointed head of the ICRC delegation in Armenia.
Issues related to the rights of the Armenian servicemen and
civilians held captive in Azerbaijan and the processes of their return were
discussed at the meeting. The matter of returning the bodies of Armenians was
also part of the agenda.
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia involvement in the process
of release of prisoners and the return of bodies is a matter within the mandate
of the Defender.
