Today,
the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Mr. Arman Tatoyan had an online meeting
with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of
America to Armenia Ms. Lynne Tracy.
During
the meeting, the Defender presented the Azerbaijani atrocities, torture cases
and inhuman treatment of captives and peaceful population.
Issues
related to the rights of people forcibly transferred from Artsakh to Armenia
due to the Azerbaijani armed attacks were also discussed, paying special
attention to children.
The
Ambassador highlighted the Human Rights Defender’s role in the context of the
recent events in Armenia, as well as the war.
In
his turn, the Human Rights Defender conveyed his appreciation to the Ambassador
for the cooperation in a number of essential areas.
The
parties expressed their readiness to enhance the cooperation.
