Today, at the initiative of
Yezidi Center for Human Rights NGO, the Human Rights Defender Mr. Arman Tatoyan
received the representatives of the organization.
The protection of the rights
of the national minorities of Armenia, including the rights of Yezidis is at
the center of our constant attention.
The Human Rights Defender
underlines that our Yezidi brothers and sisters living in Armenia should enjoy
opportunities to effectively realize their rights, preserving their traditions
and values.
Mr. Arman Tatoyan informed
that in the State of Emergency, the Human Rights Defender’s guide on “The new
Coronavirus and human rights in the state of emergency” was also published in
Yezidi language as the national minorities should be able to get acquainted
with information concerning them in their national language.
The Head of Yezidi Center for
Human Rights NGO Mr. Sashik Sultanyan expressed his appreciation to the Human
Rights Defender for the activities implemented in the field.
During the meeting, the
parties discussed issues related to the implementation of joint activities
aimed at the protection of human rights.
