The Office
of the Human Rights Defender monitors the protest in front of the National
Assembly against the exploitation of the Amulsar mine.
The hotline
of the Human Rights Defender's Office received a number of calls with regard to
the apprehension of protesting persons.
Given the
calls and the results of social media monitoring, at the Human Rights
Defender’s instruction rapid response groups visited Malatia, Arabkir and other
departments of the Police, where apprehended persons were kept.
The
Defender’s representatives will have private interviews with the apprehended
persons, study the state of protection of their rights and the grounds of their
apprehension.
