The Human Rights Defender received 794 complaints concerning the actions addressing the economic impact of COVID-19 in Armenia.
The complaints were received by the Human Rights Defender’s Office both in writing and orally. The Office has also conducted the monitoring of media.
The issues raised in the complaints can be divided into two groups:
• issues of a technical nature;
• issues requiring legal regulation.
The Human Rights Defender, while emphasizing the anti-crisis actions, nevertheless records that they should be targeted, which will further emphasize the state's readiness to address any issue related to the actions. During state of emergency, the legal burden of the state increases, this further obliges the state to implement all solutions on the most favorable terms for people.
