Today, an information was published that “yesterday
four men attacked the apartment of advocate Mr. Tigran Atanesyan yesterday”. According to the publications, they threaten
the advocate; at the moment of the attack the advocate’s family members, his
wife and children were at home.
The Human Rights Defender Mr. Arman Tatoyan had
a conversation with Mr. Tigran Atanesyan, who ascertained that the issue is
connected with his professional activities.
According to the Human Rights Defender, this
issue should be a subject of primary examination by the law enforcement bodies,
since advocate’s professional activities are entitled to special protection by
the law.
Police officers arrived after receiving a call
and initiated criminal proceeding. The Human Rights Defender’s Office will be in
constant contact with the Police.

family members, including women and children, who were at home.
