On his Facebook page, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan
presented another success story on the work undertaken during the State of
Emergency.
“One of the success stories about the daily inconveniences during
the State of Emergency .
A citizen applied to me informing that his mother was transferred
to one of the location for isolation, and because of that they are having
issues with taking care of the sick grandmother.
It was apparent from the family’s story that the applicant’s
mother worked at one of the factories, where the coronavirus case had been
confirmed. However, the mother had missed work for about a month, as she had to
take care of the grandmother suffering from severe illness. Despite that fact,
the police officers transferred her to a hotel for the purposes of isolation.
As a consequence, the grandmother was left without care and fell into difficult
psychological state caused by the risk of exacerbation of the disease.
Following the receipt of the complaint, my office contacted the
Ministry of Health, and the necessary work was carried out. As a result of the
work, we succeded in returning the woman from the place of isolation to her
house for self-isolation.
P.S. These days, not only the hotline calls have increased by four
times, but the cases requiring rapid response have also increased: now 8-9
calls out of 10 require rapid response”.
