A few
days after declaring the State of Emergency, a resident of one of the Armenian
regions applied to the Human Rights Defender requesting Defender’s assistance
in reuniting with his family living in the Russian Federation.
He
informed that he had arrived to Armenia to visit his parents and could not
return to Russia, where he lived with his wife and had a temporary residence
permit there.
As a
result of effective and rapid response of the Human Rights Defender's Office,
the citizen was able to buy a ticket and return to the Russian Federation,
taking into account his temporary residence permit.
