It is
clear that the state of emergency declared in Armenia is accompanied with
certain restrictions in social and economic life, conditioned by the necessity
to fight against the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect
the public health.
These
restrictions cause difficulties for entrepreneurs’ activities as well. The
difficulties may also arise due to the organization of state bodies’ work in an
emergency regime.
The
protection of entrepreneur’s interests is an important direction of the
Defender’s activity, especially in emergency situations and issues within the
Defender's mandate are at the center of our daily attention.
Thus,
we would like to inform the entrepreneurs that when encountering issues with the
state bodies they can apply for the Defender’s assistance.
A
Unit for Protection of Rights in the Field of Business operates at the
Defender’s Office and in case of questions, entrepreneurs can call 116 or 096-116-100
(for non-working hours and days).
To remind, earlier, the Human Rights Defender responded to the
concerns of employees that work during the emergency situation, but it should
be noted that protection of rights requires a complex approach, given the
rights of all parties.
