Convicted
person requested the assistance of the Human Rights Defender for his proper medical
care and necessary surgery.
According
to the applicant, he received medical care while being deprived of liberty, but
still there is no positive dynamic. He claimed that there was a need for urgent
surgery, which was not planned for a long period of time.
With
regard to the raised issue and within the discussion procedure initiated at the
Defender’s Office, an official letter was addressed to the RA Ministry of
Justice.
As a
result, the convicted person underwent a free of charge medical examination and
surgery.
