The
issue is that according to the current legislation, once there is a criminal
proceeding against a police officer, the latter does not have the opportunity
of receiving salary, resigning from service at his own initiative and being
appointed to another position, except for scientific, pedagogical and creative
work.
As a
result, the police officer, without proven guilt by a final judicial act, faces
the issue of addressing the immediate needs of the
family.
