On
February 21, in the framework of an official visit to Artsakh, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan, accompanied by
his Artsakh counterpart, met with the Minister of Defense of Artsakh, Commander of the Defense Army, Lieutenant General Karen
Abrahamyan.
Issues related
to the protection of servicemen rights and strengthening cooperation between
the institutions were discussed.
A
reference was also made to the need for systemic steps in preventing deaths in
the army, as well as to the rights protection of soldiers and officers,
including women.
First
Deputy Commander of the Defense Army of Artsakh, Major-General Mr. Jalal
Harutyunyan and Head of Department General of the Office of the Human Rights
Defender of Armenia MR. Artyom Sedrakyan also participated in the meeting.
