Today, the
results of the essay competition announced within the #changetheworld awareness
raising campaign on inclusive education conducted by the Human Rights Defender were
finalized.
The Human
Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Zaruhi
Batoyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and
Public Affairs Naira Zohrabyan made opening speeches during the event.
“No child should be deprived of education or
of that opportunity because of health or another issue. This is impermissible,
and we should eliminate that stereotypes. It is important to teach children the
skills of independent life; otherwise, we will always have a deficient
education system”, noted Arman Tatoyan in his speech.
National
Assembly deputy Sofia Hovsepyan, President of the World Vision Armenia Zhirayr
Edilyan, Save the Children Armenia Country team leader Astghik Movsisyan,
actress Lala Mnatsakanyan, jury member Gohar Navasardyan highlighted the
importance of inclusive education in their speeches.
The videos
about four heroes prepared within the framework of the #changetheworld
awareness raising campaign and a music video “Together We Can Change the World”
were presented during the event.
