Today, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan
received the
Head of EU Delegation, Ambassador H.E. Andrea Wiktorin.
Arman Tatoyan congratulated the
Ambassador on assuming her important mission wishing her a productive
tenure.
During the
meeting, the parties discussed the issues related to combating corruption and
reforms in the judiciary, as well as issues pertaining to women’s and
children’s rights protection.
The work of the Human Rights Defender was emphasized,
especially in the elimination of intolerance, insulting and hate speech, as
well as the awareness-raising activities in different fields.
The Head of the EU Delegation
emphasized the importance of the RA Human Rights Defenders’ efforts in
protecting and promoting human rights in the country.
The Human Rights Defender
highlighted the activities implemented with the EU Delegation in Armenia and
informed that there is a well-established cooperation with the European Union
in Armenia.
The
parties agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation.
