Today,
the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia and Georgia,
H.E. Ulrik Tidestrom.
Arman
Tatoyan presented the Human Rights Defender’s working directions and priorities
to the Ambassador, as well as the activities carried out with regard to individual
complaints and revealed systemic issues.
The
Human Rights Defender also reflected on activities in the field of women’s rights
protection, and awareness raising activities.
While
speaking about international cooperation, Arman Tatoyan stated that the Human
Rights Defender intervenes as a third party in the cases pending before the
European Court of Human Rights in respect to Armenia and presents special
submissions to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe which are
directed to the independent assessment of the execution of the ECHR judgments
in respect to Armenia, etc.
Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia and
Georgia stressed the important work done by the Human Rights Defender.
The Parties agreed to enhance the established
cooperation.
