The
Human Rights Defender’s representatives visited the military hospital to
receive information regarding the health condition of the officer Ara Mkhitaryan
injured during the incident in Vayots Dzor’s Yeghegnadzor city.
They met with medical staff and administration of the hospital to receive information
regarding his health condition and the provided medical care.
In
addition, Ara Mkhitaryan’s parent was contacted, who did not complain about the
medical care provided to their son at the military hospital. However, they noted
that it is a priority for them to have an objective investigation of the
incident and hold liable the persons who are guilty.
In order to receive information
regarding the course and the results of the criminal investigation, an official
letter with relevant questions was sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
