Dear
compatriots,
Over the
past 28 years, Artsakh has proved that it deserves its full place in the
civilized democratic world.
I
consider the promotion of democratic recognition of Artsakh on international
platforms as an important direction of my activities, working only from the perspectives
of human rights and excluding any political factor.
I have always
stated and will repeat that the political status of a territory should not have
a negative impact on the protection of rights. It is necessary to work with
international human rights bodies guided by this well-known principle, that lies
at the very foundation of these organization.
The
guarantee and protection of the human rights of people living in Artsakh should
not depend on the political status of Artsakh. The Human Rights Defender and
civil society of Artsakh play a fundamental role in all these processes.
I congratulate
people of Artsakh and Armenians all over the world on this Pan-Armenian
holiday.
