The Human Rights Defender has been involved as a party to the investigation of a public procurement appeal for the first time․
Particularly, head of one of the participant companies in an urgent open tender organized for state needs, disagreeing with the results, lodged a complaint to the person examining procurement-related appeals and, simultaneously applied to the Human Rights Defender’s Office for the involvement of the Defender as a party to the investigation of the appeal.
This precedent is especially important in terms of ensuring the effective protection of the entrepreneurs’ rights.
The protection of the entrepreneurs’ rights is one of the main direction of the Human Rights Defender’s work.
From this perspective, the Defender once again highlights the importance of observing the principle of certainty by state bodies during procurement processes, which will provide the entrepreneurs with an opportunity to effectively realize their rights.
