On August
15, by the assignment of the RA Human Rights Defender, staff members visited
the "Prison Hospital" and "Abovyan" Penitentiary Institutions
of the RA Ministry of Justice. Within the framework of the visit, private interviews
were held with detainees Sedrak Nazaryan, Tatul Tamrazyan, Armen Lambaryan,
Ashot Petrosyan, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, as well as Pavel and Aram Manukyan, who
were keeping in the "Prison Hospital" Penitentiary Institution.
In the
"Abovyan" Penitentiary Institution of the RA
Ministry of Justice private interviews with a number of detained and convicted
persons were conducted. Within the framework of the monitoring, their
conditions of detention, as well as the situation on ensuring their rights were
studied.
According
to the results of the interviews and studies, relevant letters will be sent to
the competent authorities.
