Year’s Message by the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms.
Anahit Manasyan
“Dear
compatriots,
Dear
colleagues of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, I extend my congratulations
on the occasion of the New Year, wishing you peace, a rights-based and
values-based environment, and confidence in your own capacities and in the
future.
The
2025 was marked by numerous challenges, as well as achievements, during which
the mission of protecting and promoting human rights was carried out by our
staff with great dedication and principled commitment. In this context, I would
like to express my special gratitude to the staff of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office for their unwavering dedication, professional responsibility,
and commitment to the protection of human rights.
Our
institution will continue its activities based on the principles of the rule of
law, the inviolability of human dignity, and equality. Our efforts will be
directed not only toward responding to problems, but also toward preventing
systemic problems and strengthening institutional capacities.
We
must strengthen the understanding that the protection of human rights is a
continuous process requiring joint efforts, solidarity, public responsibility,
and the values of justice and equality are the pillars upon which a stable,
democratic, and human-centered society is formed.
I
wish that the coming year will be a year of new opportunities, peaceful
coexistence, solidarity, value-based progress and mutual respect, for the sake
of the full realization of human rights and social well-being.
May
these New Year days fill your homes and hearts with warmth, and may love,
humanity, and unity remain constant companions of our society.”
