On
September 24–25, a training course on “Developing Communication Skills” was
held for the representatives of the Human Rights Defender’s Office.
The
two-day course aimed to develop and strengthen the professional and
communication skills of the staff in various situations.
Opening
remarks were made by Mr. Vladimir Hovhannisyan, Head of Department General for
Protection of Civil, Socio-Econimic and Cultural Rights of the Human Rights
Defender's Office, and Mr. Tigran Grigoryan, UNDP Human Rights Project
Coordinator.
The
training course aimed at developing the capacities of the Human Rights
Defender's Office was organized within the framework of the “ATHENA: Advancing
the Human Rights Agenda and Enhancing National Authorities” project, in
cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The
course was conducted by UNDP expert Mr. Sergiu Vasile.
Activities
aimed at developing the capacities of the Human Rights Defender's Office are of
an ongoing nature.
