As a
result of monitoring of the mass media and social media networks by the Human
Rights Defender's Office, information was received that a group of Indian
citizens working in one of the production facilities in the city of Ijevan have
raised issues related to labor rights.
To
get acquainted with the rights-related problems raised by foreign nationals,
the status of ensuring the rights of individuals, as well as the concerns
raised regarding the working conditions, the representative of the Tavush
sub-division of the Human Rights Defender's Office held private interviews with
several employees on August 6.
All
human rights–related issues are summarized by the Human Rights Defender’s
Office and will be addressed to the competent state body.
The
Human Rights Defender, within the scope of her mandate, will remain consistent
in ensuring that labor rights are fully upheld and protected.
