and Beauty Day
"Dear
women and girls, I warmly congratulate you on April 7, the Motherhood and
Beauty Day.
This
holiday is another opportunity to appreciate the role of women. Armenian women
have been the strong pillar of our state for centuries, and even today their
role in the development and stability of society is undeniable. Protection and promotion
of women's rights, as well as their advancement in various spheres of public
life, are among the key prerequisites for strengthening that foundation.
As
the Human Rights Defender, the protection and promotion of women's rights are a
priority for me. It is essential that the state continues to take consistent
steps toward the sustained development of this field. In this process, it is
crucial to overcome stereotypes, ensure equal opportunities, promote women's
participation in decision-making processes, and support their full involvement
in social and political life.
Particular
attention must be paid to the field of education, where it is necessary to
foster a correct understanding of the role of women and contribute to the
elimination of stereotypical thinking.
