The results of the Human Rights Defender's monitoring
indicate that in all areas of life, including in the family, educational
institutions, child care and protection institutions and on the internet,
children continue to be subjected to all forms of violence and effective
mechanisms for identifying, preventing, and responding to these cases are
lacking.
Considering the urgency of the issue and the need for
immediate action the Human Rights Defender has published an extraordinary
report entitled titled “Issues Related to the Identification, Prevention, and
Response to Cases of Violence Against Children in the Republic of Armenia”
The report includes the results of the Defender’s
monitoring activities during 2024, the problems identified, and recommendations
for their resolution.
The Human Rights Defender strongly emphasizes that the
state take urgent measures to guarantee the right of every child to be
protected and to live in an environment free from violence.
