On
January 17, the Shirak Regional Subdivision of the Human Rights Defender's
Office hosted students from the “Foton” Educational Complex SNCO.
The
purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the Human
Rights Defender’s Office.
Lusine Nahapetyan, Head of the Shirak regional subdivision of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office, presented the history of the Office, the Defender's
functions, and the procedure for applying to the Defender.
The
meeting was held in a question-and-answer format, during which the students
raised a number of inquiries.
Meetings
with students from educational institutions and representatives of
non-governmental organizations at the Human Rights Defender’s Office, including
in the regional subdivisions, are ongoing.
