The
Human Rights Defender's Alternative report on the status of commitments under
the UN convention on the rights of the child and its optional protocols by the
Republic of Armenia has been published.
The
report aims to assess how well the Republic of Armenia has implemented and
continues to implement the obligations set by the UN Convention on the Rights
of the Child and its Optional Protocols, as well as the recommendations
presented in the 2013 Concluding Observations of the UN Committee on the Rights
of the Child. The report covers the period from 2013 to 2024.
The
report presents the issues, assessments, and recommendations recorded by the
Human Rights Defender regarding the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken
by the state.
The
assessments and recommendations provided by the Human Rights Defender in the
report are reflected in the 2024 Concluding Observations of the UN Committee on
the Rights of the Child.
