At
the regular session of the Public Council for the Protection and Promotion of
the Rights of Persons Belonging to National Minorities adjunct to the Defender,
the draft Law on National Minorities was discussed.
During
the discussion, the members of the council presented their observations and
recommendations regarding the project.
The
latter have been summarized in one collective document and will be presented to
the competent state authority.
The
representatives of non-governmental organizations that are members of the
Council, as well as the representative of Yazidi Center for Human Rights, who
is not a member of the Council, participated in the works of drafting the
document.
