On
June 19, the Human Rights defender Ms. Anahit Manasyan visited the women's
battalion of the N military unit of the Ministry of Defense.
As
part of the visit, the Defender, accompanied by the command of the military
unit, toured the the area, got acquainted with the newly constructed buildings
for female servicepersons, their living conditions, and the state of ensuring
their rights.
From
viewpoint of protecting the rights of female servicemen, and the realization of
the service under proper conditions, the Defender positively assesses the newly
created conditions.
Within
the framework of the visit, the Defender held a meeting and private
conversations with the female servicepersons of the battalion, who presented
their service routine, and raised a number of other issues related to the
improvement of the conditions of the service, and their rights.
The
Defender noted that guaranteeing the rights of female servicepersons, excluding
discrimination, and other issues related to the field are under her direct
attention.
