On May 23, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan's
working visit to Syunik Region has started. The Defender was accompanied by the
HRD staff members.
Anahit Manasyan met with the Head of the Syunik regional
department of the Defender's Office, discussed the issues raised by the
citizens, the directions and methodology of work, as well as the effectiveness
of cooperation with the competent state bodies, the goals of solving the issues
raised by the citizens.
The Defender especially emphasizes the need to ensure the
building of the department including the environment suitable for people with
disabilities.
In the framework of the consultation, a number of issues
related to the work methodology were discussed and recommendations were given.
