The hotline of the Human Rights Defender received an
alert from advocate Vahan Hovhannisyan, according to which an alleged case of
torture occurred in the investigative department of the Shengavit
administrative district, as a result of which the person was taken to a medical
institution.
On the basis of the received alert, on the instructions
of the Human Rights Defender the rapid response group immediately went to the
medical institution to get acquainted with the situation on the spot.
The information spread in relation to the mentioned
incident in media and social networks is also being examined.
