The annual report
on the activities of the Human Rights Defender, the state of protection of
human rights and freedoms in 2023 and the annual report on the activities of the Human Rights Defender as a national
preventive mechanism in 2023 have been published.
The Defender's annual reports summarize the results of
the activities of the Human Rights Defender's institution during the previous
year, the analysis of the existing issues in different fields, as well as the
Defender's proposals to overcome them.
The Human Rights Defender submits the annual reports to
the National Assembly on the basis of the Constitution of the RA and the
Constitutional Law of the RA "On the Human Rights Defender", taking
into account the existing international methodology for the reports of national
human rights institutions.
The Defender Anahit Manasyan attaches special importance
to the proper cooperation with the competent authorities in the direction of
the implementation of the proposals presented in order to solve the problems
recorded in the field of human rights protection.
During the year, on the initiative of the Defender,
targeted discussions will be held regarding the submitted proposals with the
involvement of competent bodies and civil society.
