On the instructions of the Human Rights Defender, on
March 23, a rapid response group went to the RA IC Investigative Division of
Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan Investigative
Department, within the framework of the incident with the members of the
"National Progress" party of the Yerevan city Council and a group of
citizens.
The visit is carried out on the basis of an alert
received on the hotline of the Human Rights Defender, as well as on the basis
of public information.
Private interviews will be held with the persons deprived
of their liberty who are currently in the investigative body within the
framework of the criminal proceedings initiated by the mentioned case. The
grounds for depriving them of their liberty and the state of ensuring their
rights will be examined։ the documents prepared in this regard will also be
examined.
