At
the moment, the rapid response group, on the instructions of the Human Rights
Defender Anahit Manasyan, is on Lvovyan Street, Nor Nork Administrative
District, Yerevan.
Earlier,
calls were received to the hotline of the Defender's Office regarding the
demolition of residential buildings in public areas on Lvovyan Street. In
particular, the citizens reported that they have lived in those buildings for
years, and now they still do not have the opportunity to move to another area
for the purpose of residence, as well as to transport their personal property.
On
the basis of warnings, as well as public information, an investigation
procedure was immediately started on the instructions of the Defender. In order
to get relevant clarifications, contact was established with the
representatives of the Yerevan Municipality.
A
letter will be addressed to the Yerevan Municipality in order to receive
complete information regarding the raised issue.
The
issue is under the immediate attention of the Human Rights Defender.
