The
Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan and the representatives of the HRD Office
visited "Nubarashen" and "Abovyan" penitentiaries.
Private
interviews were held with the persons deprived of their liberty, during which,
among other items, issues related to criminal proceedings and the type of
restraining measure chosen were presented.
The
state of ensured rights, necessary documents and the conditions of detention
were examined.
The
recorded issues were discussed with the competent representatives of the
penitentiary institutions in order to solve immediately some of the raised
problems.
The
issues related to the rights of persons deprived of liberty are under the
attention of the Defender.
