The Gegharkunik regional subdivision of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office hosted the students of Secondary School No. 8, after
Mnatsakan Buniatyan in Gavar, in celebration of Human Rights Day.
Ani Hoveyan, the Head of the Gegharkunik regional
subdivision, presented to the guests the directions and priorities of the Human
Rights Defender's activities, the scope of competences, and provided
information into the structure of the Defender's Office, including the regional
subdivisions. She also addressed issues related to the protection of human
rights.
During the session, students and school staff had the
opportunity to voice their concerns.
Information on the methods to apply to the Human Rights
Defender was also shared with the students.
Summing
up the meeting, the Defender's representative expressed her gratitude for the
fruitful discussion.
