The
citizen appealed to the Human Rights Defender and reported that after the
44-day war of 2020, her husband was illegally sentenced to prison by the Baku
court. The family now lives in socially insecure conditions.
The
applicant requested the assistance of the Defender in organizing the process of
receiving the social support they are entitled to as a family of a person
illegally deprived of liberty in Baku.
In
relation to the issue raised in the Human Rights Defender's office,
examinations were conducted.
During
the discussions and the examinations of the necessary documents, it was found
that the applicant is a beneficiary of the social assistance measure approved
by the Government's decision for the families of the victims, missing persons,
as well as those captured among civilians as a result of the 44-day war of
2020, while he has not received it for years.
As a
result of the Defender's quick response and cooperation with the Ministry of
Labor and Social Affairs, the family received about 3 years of unpaid financial
assistance.
