The
representatives of the Human Rights Defender carry out fact-finding activities
on the spot, talk with forcibly displaced people as well as register the issues
raised by them.
A
number of issues related to provision of accommodation, registration, as well
as protection of their rights are being examined. Individual concerns raised by
people have been and continue to be promptly adressed and resolved on the spot.
The Human Rights Defender is constantly in contact with the competent state
bodies regarding the recorded issues. The results of the fact-finding
activities have already been summarized and the corresponding proposals have
been considered with the competent state authorities.
On
September 24-26, the Defender Anahit Manasyan along with the representatives of
the Office of the Human Rights Defender visited Syunik region and carried out
round-the-clock monitoring and fact-finding activities in Goris and Kornidzor.
During the visit, the Defender met with forcibly displaced persons from
Nagorno-Karabakh: the issues raised by them were registered. The results of the
fact-finding activities have already been summarized and the corresponding
proposals have been considered with the competent state authorities.
